What is the difference between a Family Pledge/Foundation donation and a Designated donation?

When you make a family pledge you are donating to the SRHS Foundation Fund.  Your voluntary donation provides critical funds for educational programs, technology and other enhancements to foster excellence.


When you make a designated donation you are donating to a specific class, club or team and all of your donation is put toward your designation.

Does a portion of my Designated donation go towards the Foundation Fund?

No. 

Any donation you make to your student’s class, club or team is a Designated donation and does NOT go towards the Foundation Fund. These are separate donations. 

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes.

Will I receive a tax receipt?

Yes, with one exception: Designated Donations to a class, club or team made BY CHECK will not receive a tax receipt.

When will I receive my tax receipt?

Tax receipts for 2017 donations will be sent in early January. Tax receipts for donations made in 2018 will be sent at the end of the school year.
